Awesome novel with a great plot - Sensual and captivating
Such a great book. Awesome novel. i Could not stop reading until the end. I found myself unable to put it down.
Its combination of nerve-racking tension, an engaging love story and such a great plot that kept me up until the wee hours. It brings also a awakening call for the human traffic that goes on in the 21st century and needs the attention of the world to put a stop to it.

A real page-turner
What a gripping Novel, that had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. It felt like I was in India the whole time thanks to the vivid descriptions of sights and smells. A range of plot twists that all came together at the end. A brilliant read.

Absolutely fabulous!
What a fabulous read! Not only is it exciting and full of suspense and action, it also very informative and makes one feel part of Delhi society.The protagonist, Carla, is a somewhat reluctant heroine propelled into action by circumstances out of her control. She finds love and adventure in India while not looking for it. A strong plot and story that also highlights some real current issues such as human trafficking, child brides and the ongoing war on terror. Well written and fast paced, one of those reads that you just can't put down.

Brilliant
I read this is a couple of days. For a first novel, it is seriously a great read. The husbands of the best friends are annoying and full of themselves but I like the way that is like real life.
The trafficking is horrible but it's written in way that just has you rooting for the victims and hoping bad things happen to the captors.
It's a serious topic but put in and around a great story. I'd recommend this book for sure especially for a holiday read, by the pool a tell glass is something cool, definitely.

Really lovely descriptions
A page turner with excellent descriptions of clothes, perfume, cities, and people. The plot is gripping and tense in places - the start shows the inherent sexism in life very painfully. The characters were nicely ambiguous, not just good and bad, and the ending had a good few twists.
I can see this being a good film, with strong female leads and a hot male secondary character.

I read this book in 2 days. It was a great page turner, with mystery and suspense, good charecterisation and a plot that kept me guessing. I enjoyed the backdrop of India and was amazed at the many threads that all came together at the end. Great debut.

Exciting Spy story based in India
Gripping story, I finished the book in three evenings. Great chatacters, I started to feel like I had become one of them. Can’t wait for the film and Elana’s next novel.
